Installing SmartComponents
While SmartComponents can be created from zero to solve a specific problem, other users have already created and shared components that perform a plethora of robotic tasks.

Installing a SmartComponent
Extract the contents of a downloaded SmartComponent into an User directory.
Copy the .rslib file, which is the Library file of the SmartComponent, into RobotStudio's "User Library" directory. In a default installation, this directory is located in: "C:\Users\USER_NAME\Documents\RobotStudio\Libraries"
Open it using RobotStudio's "Import Library" command.
Note
If needed, a SmartComponent can be Disconnected from its Library and customized in RobotStudio. Refer to the SmartComponent's Data Storage topic for more information.
