Installing SmartComponents

While SmartComponents can be created from scratch to solve specific problems, many users have already created and shared components that perform a wide range of robotic tasks.

Installing a SmartComponent

1. Extract the contents of a downloaded SmartComponent into a User directory.

2. Open it using RobotStudio's "Import Library" command.

   Note

   If needed, a SmartComponent can be Disconnected from its Library and customized in RobotStudio. Refer to the SmartComponent's Data Storage topic for more information.
